In memory of Victoria Whiting

We are deeply saddened by the death of Victoria Whiting, a teaching fellow in Warwick Foundation Studies who passed away in mid-November 2023 after a long battle with cancer.

Felix Mayeya and Virginia Sharpe, who worked closely with Victoria in Warwick Foundation Studies, said: "Vicki was a remarkable colleague with a vibrant personality and truly cosmopolitan world view, who was dedicated to her students and to the teaching of Economics. She was instrumental in developing and managing the current Global Economy course and her energy and enthusiasm for her subject, combined with a keen intellect, made a lasting impression on those who were fortunate to have the opportunity to work with her.

"Vicki's dedication, perseverance, and positive attitude have left an indelible mark on colleagues in the department. We are grateful for the opportunity to have worked alongside such an exceptional individual. She will be sadly missed by her colleagues within the department."

If you'd like to contribute to a book of memories in honour of Vicki, please visit the staff room on the ground floor of the New Education Building, Westwood Campus.
