Warwick Volunteers has launched a competition for students, supported by Santander Universities, to find exciting new volunteering projects that will benefit the local community.
If you have a good idea, you could receive funding of £1000 to develop a project and win up to £100 for yourself. If you fancy a challenge, have the qualities to be a good leader, are hardworking and committed and want to leave your mark on Warwick, this is your perfect opportunity.
Last year's competition created six new projects. Could your project be one of this year's winners?
- You can apply individually, or as part of a group, club, or society.
- Your project must be a volunteering activity that will directly benefit members of the local community in Coventry or Leamington.
- Projects may be short-term but must be able to demonstrate an ongoing benefit, for example by teaching people a new skill.
- It is not necessary to already have contact with a school or community organisation, as Warwick Volunteers can support you to make contacts as your project is developed. However, you must be able to show that you have identified a genuine community need, so you may wish to discuss your idea with potential community partners before submitting your entry. Please read the Shortlisting / Judging Criteria and competition Terms and Conditions before designing your project.
