Warwick staff attend first ever open days in China

A small group of academic and professional services staff are helping to host the University’s first ever open days in China.

Warwick’s world-leading research will be showcased at two student open days in Shanghai and Beijing, where prospective students and families can learn more about the University’s academic strengths and global reputation.

Academics from the Centre for Cultural and Media Policy Studies, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, WBS and WMG will host panel sessions on AI, and on Sustainability and Risk, showcasing Warwick’s commitment to tackling global challenges and fostering innovation across disciplines.

The open days form part of a 10-day visit to China which includes visits by Professor Stuart Croft, Vice-Chancellor, to Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Eastern Institute of Technology. This visit, in our anniversary year, will reaffirm our dedication to contributing to the shared development of education, research, and innovation between the UK and China.

Professor Sai Gu, Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor (East and South East Asia), who will join the visit, said:

“This visit is a powerful reminder of the strength of Warwick’s Chinese community and the value of our longstanding partnerships in the country. From alumni who are shaping industries, to students eager to be part of our story, the connections between Warwick and China are dynamic, deep, and full of potential.”
