Applications for the 2013 SU Societies Awards are now open in the categories of: Society of the Year, Best New Society, Most Improved Society, Best Event and Outstanding Contribution. You can also nominate your society for Best Society Award in one of the following areas: Academic, Arts & Media, Culture on Campus, and Community. You've got until 12pm on Friday 31 May 2013 to apply.

The awards will be presented at the Socs Awards on Tuesday 25 June (Week 10, Term 3) at 7.30pm in Butterworth Hall. Tickets will be £20 and a two-course meal and refreshments will be included.

Applying and Eligibility

Societies can apply for, and win, more than one award.

You are invited to give us a submission of:

• A Socs Awards Cover Sheet
• A 20 second video and no more than 1000 words (excluding appendices) for The Society of the Year, Best New, Most Improved, and Best (By Category) awards
• A 20 second video and 500 words (excluding appendices) for the Best Event 500 words for the Outstanding Contribution Awards (no video necessary).
• 500 words for the Outstanding Contribution Awards (no video necessary).
