Warwick Summer Holiday Scheme

Children's art workshopEvery year, working parents have to deal with the headache of juggling work and childcare during the summer holidays. The University is therefore currently considering whether to offer a 'summer holiday scheme with a difference', children of all Warwick staff and students being eligible to attend.

The scheme would focus on offering an inspirational programme of educational, cultural and sporting activities to challenge, entertain and enthuse; developing children's skills and utilising the fantastic resources available on campus.

Sounds interesting? Give us your feedback

We'd love to hear your views on what you'd like to see offered on a Warwick summer scheme via the online questionnaire. Your feedback will determine whether the scheme goes ahead this year and what it will offer.

If enough parents are interested, the scheme would be available on weekdays from 22 July to 30 August 2013, and those who complete the survey by 22 March 2013 will be given advance notice when registration is about to open.

Although the survey is designed primarily with parents of school-aged children in mind, we'd love to hear the thoughts and suggestions of the whole Warwick community, so please do spare a few minutes to complete the questionnaire. The survey will close at the end of April 2013.

Get involved

If you'd like to get involved in the development process further, or would be interested in offering to deliver a session for the programme, please complete the online questionnaire. Yvonne Salter Wright, Director of Delivery Assurance, Registrar's Office, will be happy to liaise with those who are interested in more detailed discussion about how they can engage with development or delivery of the scheme.
