Literary Successes for English
The last few weeks have seen a trio of literary successes for the University’s Department of English and Comparative Literary Studies.
Warwick Farewell - Professor Sir Howard Dalton FRS
It is with very great regret that the University has been informed of the sudden and untimely death of Professor Sir Howard Dalton on Saturday 12th January 2008 in Leamington Spa.
Professor Maxine Berg - 'Global History'
Professor Maxine Berg, Director of the Global History and Culture Centre will be in discussion with Professor Steve Jones and Dr Jonathan Miller on Radio 3's Night Waves programme between 21:30 and 22:30 tonight on the theme of Global History.
Brian Woods-Scawen receives CBE
University Treasurer, Brian Woods-Scawen, was awarded the CBE in the 2008 New Year Honours List for services to business and to the community in the West Midlands.
Brief Encounter: Margaret Birch

Margaret Birch is the Administrator in the Institute for Employment Research. Margaret began her career at Warwick in 1965 as departmental secretary in French Studies and Philosophy. She is to retire shortly from her administrative post but hopes to continue part-time work at the University for the foreseeable future.
