Dr Paul Blackmore, Director of the Centre for Academic Practice (CAP), will be leaving the University on Friday 19 August. Paul joined Warwick in 1995, taking overall responsibility for academic staff development and became CAP's first director in 1999.

Warwick Welcomes - Miss Teresa Dowsing, BSc Warw, formerly Quality Assurance and Enhancement Manager at Imperial College, London, to SIFT Coordinator in Warwick Medical School from 16 May 2005.

Warwick Welcomes - Dr Julia Smith, BSc Brad, PhD Salf, CIPD, formerly Human Resources Manager at GlaxoSmithKline, to Head of Human Resources at Warwick Business School from 25 April 2005.

Warwick Conferences has appointed a new Head of Sales and Marketing. Andrew Whiteley joins the University with more than 20 years experience of the hotel industry. His career includes several years with Thistle Hotels in conference and banqueting sales and a managerial post with the Hanover International chain of hotels. He also gained international experience by working in Munich and Basel before becoming the Deputy Conference and Banqueting Manager at the Park Lane Hotel in London.
