Alison Kulp

It is with much sadness that the University announces the death of Alison Kulp, a Foundation Degree student from the Centre for Lifelong Learning. Alison passed away after suffering from a brain haemorrhage.

Alison was in the second year of her study as a Foundation Degree student within the Centre for Lifelong Learning, studying for a sector-endorsed Early Years foundation degree.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Nigel Thrift said: "The sudden death of a student brings great sadness to everyone who knew them and is felt deeply by the University community. Our thoughts are with Alison’s family and friends at this difficult time."

A book of condolence is available in room WCE0.6 in the Centre for Lifelong Learning, Westwood campus.

University staff and support professionals are working to support those students who were close to Alison. If you would like to speak to someone at this time, there are a number of support services available.
