Amanda Purnell, Outreach Officer in the Student Admissions & Recruitment Office, has recently been elected as UK Vice Chair (Training) for the Higher Education Liaison Officers Association (HELOA).

HELOA is the professional association of staff in higher education who work in the field of education liaison and provide guidance and information to prospective higher education students, their families and advisers. The organisation is often asked to speak at a range of high profile conferences relating to Access to HE, and is consulted by such groups as UCAS, the Student Loan Company and MPs when changes to admissions and access processes are proposed.
