Warwick staff have been honoured in this year’s Higher and Further Education Cleaning Operative awards – a new annual award introduced by the British Association of Cleaning in Higher Education (BACHE) in recognition of the value that cleaning and support staff provide within the sector. Congratulations go to Mary Ann Lee, Warwick Accommodation, who has been named Cleaning Operative of the Year 2011. The award was given in recognition of the professionalism and effort that Mary has shown in her work.

Amongst the three runners up for the award were two other Warwick Accommodation staff members: congratulations to Michael Loughran and Linda Duffy.

The Awards were presented at Warwick, and the BACHE organisers praised the accommodation staff for their exceptionally hard work over the weekend, and said that the catering, food and service at the event were of a high standard.
