Carl Blakey

It is with great sadness that the University reports the death of Carl Blakey, a postgraduate student within MOAC. Our thoughts are with Carl's friends and family at this time.

The Vice-Chancellor Professor Nigel Thrift said:

"The sudden death of a student brings great sadness to everyone in our community. Carl lived close to the campus and studied in a building in the very heart of that campus. The loss of his young life will touch many of us."

University staff and support professionals are working to support those students who were close to Carl. If you would like to speak to someone at this time, there are a number of support services available. The Student Support Services website gives more details, at http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/services/campusaffairs/student-support-services/.
