Ishita Ranjan, Warwick Business School, has received a HE Social Entrepreneurship Catalyst Award from UNltd – an organization dedicated to supporting social entrepreneurs.
The award was given for her 'Recipe for Relief', a social enterprise with the aim of breaking down the social barriers faced by asylum seekers. The project will involve working with a team of enterprising asylum seekers to run cookery classes that will lead to printing and selling a recipe book. Income will be generated by charging a small fee for the classes and from the book sales. The Award will cover kitchen hire, ingredients and printing.
