Daryl Hindmarsh has been appointed Interim Director of IT Services. He will join the University on Monday and formally take up the role following Rosemary Gilmore’s retirement at Christmas.
Daryl has more than twenty years’ IT management experience working with Computer Services Corporation (CSC), IBM Global Services, IBM Australia and, most recently, KPMG. He has led service improvement programmes, major systems developments and strategic data centre upgrades.
Jon Baldwin, the University Registrar said: “I am delighted that we have been able to attract Daryl to Warwick. In recent weeks the IT team have made a terrific effort to accelerate the timetable for replacing our email system. Daryl’s wide-ranging experience in devising and implementing change management programmes will ensure that we are able to continue to make progress with the full migration from Groupwise as well as maintaining the excellence of the many other important services within ITS”.
Interviews to recruit a permanent Director of IT Services will take place in the new year.
