One of our longest serving staff, Edith Alves, died recently – having worked well beyond the normal retirement age.

Edith joined the University in 1975 and worked on the University switchboard until her death in service, at the age of 76, on 7 June 2013. Edith was also the University’s main Unison rep for many years.

The funeral will be at 9.15am on Friday 21 June 2013 at the Charter Chapel, Canley Crematorium.

Edith’s family have indicated that they would be pleased to see any of Edith’s former colleagues at the funeral.
