Dr Sarah McMullon and Davina Bhardwaj Receive Grace Research Fund Awards

Dr Sarah McMullon has been awarded Best University of Warwick Paediatric Medical Student and Davina Bhardwaj has been awarded Best Neonatal Nurse at Coventry University as part of the Grace Research Fund Awards.

The awards were presented by Dean of Warwick Medical School Professor Peter Winstanley. Both winners graduated in the summer of 2010 and have been awarded a £100 cheque each.

The presentation was made at the Baby Unit at George Eliot Hospital with Mrs Sarah Nursey and her twins Jack and Harry.

Jack and Harry were born at University Hospital on the 24 October, spending their first week in neonatal intensive care before being moved to George Eliot. Their mother said: "All of the staff at both George Eliot Hospital and UHCW have been fantastic with their care for Jack and Harry and they have also been a great support for myself and my husband"

About the Grace Research Fund

The Grace Research Fund was a fund set up by parents Tracy and Simon following the death of their daughter Grace. The fund supports research to improve the health of Coventry & Warwickshire babies and their families through research based within the NHS baby and maternity units of Coventry & Warwickshire in partnership with the University of Warwick
