Kate Hughes - Chief Administrative Officer for the Institute of Education

It has today been announced that Kate Hughes will be seconded to the Institute of Education from 1 March 2011 to support the Institute over a period of change and development. She has been seconded in the capacity of Chief Administrative Officer to the Institute over this period.

Kate has a decade of experience in senior administrative roles at Warwick. For the last two years she has been the Director of Student Services in the Deputy Registrar’s Office, prior to which she was Warwick’s Director of Research Support Services for eight years.

Registrar, Jon Baldwin said:

"This represents a further example of partnership between the central administration and departments and, during the period of the secondment, Kate will work on the priorities established by the Institute and reinforced by the recent ASDAR and discussions in the Academic Resourcing Committee."

Professor David Wray, the Acting Director of the Institute of Education, said:

"I am delighted that Kate will be joining us in the Institute in this new role. She will work with the Institute’s academic leadership to ensure that, at all levels, we have the vision, leadership and expertise to build and deliver on WIE's mission to be a leading contributor to the creation of learning societies through our research, teaching, and continuing contribution to professional development."
