Justine Pedler - Warwick's Princess Among PRINCEs

Originally published 11 December 2002

Justine Pedler recently became the ninth person in the world to achieve a 100% pass mark in the PRINCE2 Foundation Exam. PRINCE2, PRojects IN Controlled Environments, is an internationally recognised professional accreditation for project managers. Over 17, 000 people have taken the professionally recognised exam, making Justine a member of an extremely prestigious elite.

In her role as Project Manager in the Research Support Services Office, Justine is working on a variety of important issues including developing a new website for the restructured department and accessing the feasibility of developing an Academic Research Expertise database tool.

Research funding is often dependent on the ability to use PRINCE2 techniques as the accreditation has become the governmental and commercial standard for project management.

Richard McKenna, a Project Manager with IT Services and qualified PRINCE2 Practitioner, has been the driving force behind the introduction of PRINCE2 to the University. As a result IT Services has adopted PRINCE2 as the standard management tool for new IT projects.
