Dr Ann Adams - Awarded a Primary Care Career Scientist Award
Dr Ann Adams, of the Centre for Primary Health Care Studies, has been awarded a Primary Care Career Scientist Award from the National Co-ordinating Centre for Research Capacity Development (NCCRCD).
This is one of two awards given this year. The award provides Ann with five years of funding to develop a research programme entitled ‘Improving Primary Health Care Professionals’ Decision-Making’. Ann is the second-ever person with a nursing background to have received a Career Scientist award, the other was Dr Jane Barlow who is now a Reader in Public Health at Warwick.
