Brief Encounter - Faye Jennings

Brief Encounter with Faye JenningsFaye Jennings is based in the Development and Alumni Relations Office (DARO) which maintains relationships with all of Warwick's graduates and friends, as well as securing donations to help advance the University.

Faye is responsible for managing the University's Annual Fund telephone campaigns managing a team of students who call Warwick graduates to ask if they would like to help fund student scholarships.

Which means
I work with the other members of the Annual Giving team and our Student Calling team - which now includes two Shift Managers, two Shift Supervisors, two Administrators and 75 Student Callers! I am responsible for the organisation, administration and supervision of the Annual Fund telephone campaigns. I also co-ordinate the recruitment and training of our Student Callers.

A singer (even though, as those who have been to karaoke with me will know, I can’t even sing in tune!).

Now that you are a grown-up, what would be your 'dream job'?
To be a backing dancer on a Kylie Minogue tour!

What has life's experience taught you so far?
To learn from your mistakes and to value your friends & family.

What do you treasure most?
Friends, family and my photos.

Any hidden talents?
The Playstation Dancemat.

Your all-time favourite record or piece of music?
Too difficult to choose one and too many to mention! But would include The Jam “Town Called Malice”, Aerosmith “Amazing” and Jewel “Foolish Games” as they all remind me of friends and good times.

Your favourite hobby or pastime?
Going to watch football, socialising with friends.
