Professor John Tomlinson CBE, former Director of the Institute of Education at Warwick (1985-1997), and Emeritus Professor, has died.
Professor Tomlinson was also the founder and Vice Chair (2000-2002) of the General Teaching Council for England (GTC) - the body which regulates the teaching profession in England and provides an opportunity for teachers to shape the development of professional practice and policy.
