I work in the Students’ Union supporting all of the elected officers, the Union’s democratic structures and the Student Staff Liaison Committee (SSLC) system.

Favourite phrase:
“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.”

Least favourite phrase:
“I can’t”

Magazines read:
The Wire, The Economist, Vogue.

Life before Warwick:
I grew up in Canada and have travelled/lived all over Europe.

Smartest career move:
Leaving my comfort zone to study both of my University degrees far from home - and in different countries.

Best thing about working at Warwick:
The enthusiasm and passion of the students I work with.

Worst thing about working at Warwick:
The odd working hours.

Lifelong ambition:
To visit every continent in the world.

People are always surprised to learn this about me, but...
I’m a trained musician and have been in a couple of ensembles (rock and orchestral).

As a young child what did you want to be as a "grown-up"?
An aerospace engineer or a rock star.

Now that you are grown-up what would be your "dream job"?:
I’d like to run my own business – one day!

What has life's experience taught you so far?
Don’t be afraid to take risks and always trust your gut instinct.

Major achievement to date?
Earning my Masters degree.

If you could change one thing in the University overnight, what would it be?
Better cycle paths in/around campus.

Which person inspires you most, and why?
My Mum. She’s the strongest person I know.

Your all-time favourite record or piece of music?
It changes all the time, but at the moment I like Lightning Bolt, Broken Social Scene, M.I.A and Neko Case.

Your favourite hobby or pastime?
Photography, Travel, Cycling, Music.
