Tracy Phipps has been appointed as the new Head of University Security Services to succeed Royce Farr who retires in December 2008.

Tracy has had an extensive career in security and related services with her most recent post being with Wembley National Stadium. Prior to that Tracy has held positions in a range of sectors including intelligence operations and serving as an officer with HM Armed Forces.

Tracy joined the University on Monday 8 December 2008 and is undertaking a handover period with Royce, who will retire on 23 December 2008.
