Warwick Team 4th in Venetian Regatta

A Warwick team took part in the historic Venetian Regatta, held annually on the first Sunday of September. This is a Venetian pageant on the Grand Canal, with a costumed procession following the ‘bucentaur’ – the Doge’s state galley. Since 2005, the Regatta has included a University race – originally between Venice’s two universities (Ca’ Foscari and IUAV), now broadened out to include teams from several other European universities. We congratulate the Warwick team on coming fourth, after a head-to-head race with the University of Bari, in this unique event, which further cements the presence of Warwick in Venice.
