Dr Steven Brown, together with Professor Mark Smith and Professor Ray Dupree, from the Department of Physics, recently led a successful bid to the EPSRC on behalf of a consortium of UK universities which has resulted in the award of a substantial £3.7million grant.

This grant will be used for the purchase of an 850 MHz widebore solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) system, to be housed at Millburn House's Magnetic Resonance Centre.
