Unitemps have awarded their Temp of the Year Awards for 2011.
The winners of the Awards were as follows:
- 1st – Dobromira Boyadyieva – Warwick Conferences
- 2nd – Oliver Cooper – Warwick Business School
- 3rd – Kris Pears – Student Admissions and Recruitment
The Manager's Choice award (for Unitemps' own staff), was awarded to Hannah Jones of the internal team for her "sheer dedication and ability to pick up any task she may be allocated". A special award was also made to student Kawsar Ahmed Chowdhury who helped grow Unitemps' Facebook page, increasing its popularity by 750% in 6 months.
The overall winner was nominated by Mita Nathwani. Mita explained her reasons why she nominated Dobromira (or Dobbie as she is known to her peers):
"With Dobbie there is a special sprinkling of magic, there is no 'us and them' situation with Dobbie, "if a job needs doing then lets do it" this is always Dobbie's approach. Dobbie continually and effortlessly is always willing to go that extra mile to help others, both within the team, the conference she is working on, and other teams also. Dobbie's continual dedication and commitment has not gone unnoticed, she has had experience with working on some of our larger and high profile events, and conference organisers have also made comments on her ability, and how good she is at her job. Clients remember her from year to year for her willingness to go out of her way, and of course for her infectious smile!"
The nomination was also supported by numerous comments from clients who spoke very positively about their experiences of dealing with Dobbie.
Leon Hidderley, who works as an External Recruitment Consultant for Unitemps said:
"All in all the event was a resounding success and will now become a staple event in the Unitemps calendar, we are already in the planning stage for next year and hope to put on an event on a much larger scale with more awards and encourage more and more clients to put forward nominations."
Unitemps recognises that all temporary staff are vital for the business achieving its goals and would like to extend its thanks to all temporary staff who have put in exceptional hard work over the last 12 months.
