Warwick Success at Vitae Midlands Hub Poster Competition

Warwick postgraduate research students won three of the eight prizes on offer at the Vitae Midlands Hub Poster Competition on Monday 11 July 2011.

75 PGR students from Midlands Universities entered the poster competition, held at the Nottingham Conference Centre, Nottingham Trent University, including the eight students who won Warwick's competition back in May.

Jonathan Durham (PhD French) won both the Researcher Choice (peer review) with a prize of £150 and third prize in the poster competition with a prize of £150, whilst Jason Jones (PhD Engineering) took the first prize of £150.

The high profile that this has given a poster from the Arts and Humanities is exceptionally pleasing, as posters are not the norm for disseminating research in this field.
