University Council member Brian Woods-Scawen has been appointed as University Treasurer. Mr Woods-Scawen has been a member of Council since 2001 and has also served as Chairman of the University’s Audit Committee, Chairman of the Arts Faculty Advisory Board and as a member of the board of the Arts Centre. He was a research student at the University from 1968 to 1971.

He said: "I have never lost touch with the University of Warwick. On graduating from it in 1971, I have watched it rise to become one of the UK's leading research universities and a significant asset to the reputation of the West Midlands."
