Jane Cummings, a plumber within the Estates Department at Warwick, was recently awarded the ‘Alan Heath Shield’, at an awards evening in honour of students who had completed courses within the Construction Department at Warwickshire College. Jane was awarded with the shield as the top NVQ Level III plumbing student at the college.

Jane has worked at the University since July 2005 and is the only female plumber within the Estates department. Prior to her time at Warwick, she spent time working as a trilingual administrator, an English teacher in the Czech Republic and as a Marketing Co-ordinator. She took evening courses for her NVQ level II in Plumbing from 2001 to 2003.
