Professor Wyn Grant Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Wyn Grant, Politics and International Studies has been awarded a Diamond Jubilee Lifetime Achievement Award by the Political Studies Association (PSA).

The award is the most prestigious honour that the PSA can confer and is just reward for Professor Grant’s 40 years of outstanding scholarship and professional service.

The award was given in honour of Professor Grant's legacy of political work in which he has done much to cross interdisciplinary boundaries.

Professor Grant said: "I am delighted to receive this award from my fellow academics and policy practitioners."

As a Coventry Blaze season ticket holder, he also received from the International Political Science Association based in Montréal a personalised Canadiens ice hockey shirt to thank him for his work as a vice-president of IPSA.

The Political Studies Association seeks to develop and promote the study of politics. Founded in 1950, it is the leading Association in its field in the UK, with an international membership including academics in political science and current affairs, theorists and practitioners, policy makers, researchers and students in higher education.
