Steven Timberlake, a Warwick graduate, has been named "Young Entrepreneur of the Year" in this year's Midlands Business Awards. Steven studied Engineering and Business Studies, graduating in 2006.

The award comes in honour of Hidden Eden, his inspirational garden store with outlets in Leamington Spa and Solihull. More than 300 people attended the award ceremony at the NEC Hilton Metropole Hotel.

Harj Sandher, MD of organisers UK Special Events, the company behind the event, said: "We had some excellent entries … The range of talent in the Midlands is huge and the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and kicking."

The Young Entrepreneur of the Year award is sponsored by Leamington-based PR firm HCK Communications.
