Change in the cultural sector and cultural mega events
Cultural mega events must bring about societal change – and to do this the sector itself must become equitable and open to new collaboration. See the conclusions of a report summarising the discussions, ideas and findings of leading figures from the UK’s arts and culture sectors and Coventry City of Culture 2021. The report, entitled The Road Ahead: Creating Irreversible Equitable Change, has been published by Warwick as a result of the AHRC Coventry Cultural Policy and Evaluation Summit which took place in June 2021.
Festival of Social Science is back!
We've got 12 events – a mix of in-person, online and hybrid – lined up throughout November. Many of our events are linked to COP26, which also runs in November, with themes like the Climate Cost of Our Eating Habits and using Nudge Theory to influence our recycling habits. Plus, don't miss Laura Lammasniemi's 'Age of Consent' talk that was also featured at the British Science Festival in September. Visit the webpages to see what's on and book onto events.
