The University is saddened to learn of the death of Basharat Hussain, who sadly passed away on the 19 of May 2014 after a sudden illness.
Basharat, who liked be to known as Hussain by his colleagues and many friends on campus, was known by a great many Warwick staff and students and he served for 26 years in a range of roles in University’s post and portering teams.
Hussain and the rest of the Post & Portering team became part of the Estates Office in 2008. Director of Estates, Bob Wilson said:
The sudden loss of Hussain has been a shock to us all and it is made all the more poignant by the fact that the very post room that was a part of his working life is now receiving condolence cards mourning his loss. Brendan Cassidy will ensure that those cards are delivered to his family and a book of condolence will also be made available soon."
