The University is deeply saddened by the news of the death of Rolfe Tomlinson who has died aged 90. His funeral will be at Holy Trinity Church, Beauchamp Avenue, Leamington Spa on Wednesday 28th October at 11.30.

Rolfe joined the Warwick Business School in 1980 and was head and first professor of the Operational Research and Systems Group, playing a lead role in the growth and development of WBS in the 80s. His papers can be read in the Modern Records Centre.

He as a past president of the Operational Research Society and the European Federation of Operational Research Societies and was previously head of the National Coal Board OR Service which has some 90 professional staff.
