Meet our Above & Beyond Award winners...

This term, the Academic Integrity Celebration Team have been personally selected by Professor Stuart Croft, Vice-Chancellor and President, to win an Above & Beyond Award.

Colleagues nominated the team for creating a successful initiative across departments and for demonstrating our values.

Academic Integrity Celebration Team

This cross‑campus movement reshaped students’ understanding of academic integrity, making ethical learning more accessible and meaningful.

What began as a smaller collaboration between Warwick Business School and WMG has evolved into a thriving, self-sustaining network that now includes academics, the Students’ Union, the Library, Student Communications, Education Policy and Quality, and student volunteers.

The team scaled the Academic Integrity Celebration from a one-week event to a month-long programme with competitions, gamified learning, Warwick Award integration, and active student involvement.

Their work is not only visible in increased engagement and participation, but in real cultural change. The team have built new connections across the University, and inspired departments to take new approaches to academic integrity.

This project helped team members develop personally and professionally - growing their confidence, leadership experience, and professional networks.

Most importantly, they have helped shift the conversation from compliance to celebration - creating a culture of trust, belonging, and shared responsibility that will have a lasting impact for years to come.

What is academic integrity?

Academic integrity means committing to honesty in academic work, giving credit where you use others' ideas, and being proud of your own achievements.
