I have worked with Sarah, on and off, since 2016. More recently she has been my Line Manager, and it is in this role that I would especially like to recognise her.
As a manager, Sarah strikes a rare balance between encouragement and empowerment. She not only supports and champions me, but also gives me the space and trust to grow. She consistently makes time to listen, offering guidance and advice in a calm, thoughtful and measured way.
What I value most is the openness of our working relationship. We have honest and transparent conversations. We do not always agree, but differences of opinion are welcomed and explored respectfully, without judgement. That psychological safety is incredibly powerful.
I trust Sarah — her integrity, her fairness, and her genuine commitment to the people she leads. She makes a meaningful difference not only to my professional development, but to my confidence and wellbeing at work.
For all of this, and much more, she is someone I am proud to celebrate.
