Nobel Prize winner Sir Harry Kroto visits Warwick

Sir Harry Kroto, Nobel Prize-winning Chemist and one of the scientists credited with discovering 'buckyballs', a football-shaped carbon molecule.

The full name is 'buckminsterfullerene' and its discovery has become the basis for next-generation nanomaterials. Sir Harry Kroto visited the University of Warwick's Chemistry department for the 11th International Conference on Materials Chemistry (MC11).

Professor Richard Walton spoke to Sir Kroto about his career and research.
