Theatre & Dance

At Warwick Arts Centre we strive to present some of the finest dance and theatre companies working today – this Autumn Season is no exception. DV8 Physical Theatre return with Can We Talk About This? Handspring Puppet Company (the masterminds behind the recent Tony award-winning War Horse) bring Woyzeck on the Highveld, the always excellent Kneehigh present The Wild Bride and Rifco Arts return with their dazzling five-star musical Britain’s Got Bhangra.

509 Arts’ My Last Car is commissioned by Warwick Arts Centre and it explores our love affair with the motor car through personal stories. Featuring commissioned video and a motor-soundscape, the star of the performance installation is a soft-top Rover 216 Cabriolet broken down into its component parts leaving just the shell of a ‘ghost car’. What will the world look like without the car?

Comedy

We all need cheering up as summer starts to fade and the evenings get darker and we have the perfect line up of comedians to keep a smile on your face. Jack Whitehall, The Boy With Tape on His Face, Russell Kane, Jason Byrne, Tom Stade, Stephen Merchant, and Rob Brydon all join us to make us giggle.

Music

The smooth male quintet The Overtones join us with their re-arrangements of the classic hits of yesteryear, as well as KT Tunstall with a variety of songs from her extensive back catalogue along with a handful of tracks from her recently released EP The Scarlet Tulip, Imelda May, The Legendary John Mayall and Soweto Gospel Choir for some Grammy award-winning World Music.

Family

This autumn we have a wonderful selection of family theatre to introduce young people to performance including a special treat for Christmas, a return visit from The Tiger Who Came To Tea!

Film

As the region's top independent cinema, Warwick Arts Centre offers a unique experience showing the best films from around the world and often holds special events to complement the film programme. The cinema programme has plenty of fabulous and thought provoking films to entertain and delight, with a mix of old and new, comic and serious and British and foreign cinema.

Free Lunchtime Concerts

As well as this programme of new events for the autumn, the Arts Centre runs a programme of free lunchtime concerts with performances from professional and student ensembles.
