Christmas at the University of Warwick

At Christmas time, many students return home to spend the festive season with their families, but the campus is home to some staff and students all year round so there is always something happening.

The University will officially close on Friday 21 December 2007 and will re-open on Wednesday 2 January 2008 but during this time, many facilities are still open.

Warwick Arts Centre has a variety of shows on during the festive period including Jacqueline Wilson's The Suitcase Kid and If All the World Were Paper by Oily Cart. More information and details for booking tickets are on the Warwick Arts Centre website.

The Sports Centre will be closed from 11am on Friday 21st December and will reopen on Thursday 27th December. The Sports Centre will also be closed on Tuesday 1 January, but will re-open with extended weekend opening hours from Wednesday 2 January onwards. For more details visit the Sports Centre website.

University House will be closed from 6.00pm Monday 24 December until 8.00am Wednesday 26 December. At all other times University House will remain open to allow students access to the Learning Grid.

Students return for the Spring term which begins on Monday 7th January and then the new year brings a new wave of activities.

Winter degree ceremonies will take place Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th January.

January also sees the annual One World Week.
