Get Set for the Warwick Student Arts Festival!

Warwick Student Arts Festival 2008 celebrates its fifth year as the largest student-led arts festival in the UK. Students will celebrate the end of thieir academic year with a five day festival of music, art and drama, which takes place on campus from Sunday 22 to Thursday 26 June.

Here, the next generation of artists, musicians, filmmakers and actors will showcase their talents around the University campus during the five day festival. Onlookers will be treated to performances and exhibitions that cover the spectrum of entertainment; from live Rock Gospel Choirs and Bollywood dancers to midnight ghost tours.

A wide range of plays, musicals and films will be on offer, including a sing-a-long spectacular of HMS Pinafore favourites, a performance of The Vagina Monologues, and Shakespeare’s The Tempest. But if you fancy trying your hand at new skills, there are numerous workshops available, including life drawing, short filmmaking, and even Brazilian Capoeria.

Vas Christodoulou, the WSAF co-ordinator, says: “Hundreds of students have been planning, designing and rehearing exhibitions and shows to provide a free alternative to their end of term revels.
