It is with great sadness that the University has learned of the death of the artist and honorary graduate Sir Terry Frost.

Born in Leamington Spa in 1915, Sir Terry Frost was one of the most respected and well-loved figures among the senior generation of British artists.

The University of Warwick had a close relationship with Sir Terry. He was awarded an honorary DLit by the University in 2000 and the Mead Gallery was proud to host a major retrospective of his work in 2001. The Gallery has a number of his paintings and prints in its collection, the first one purchased in 1966.

More recently the University was pleased to launch a collection of merchandise designed by Sir Terry.

Our thoughts are with his wife, Kath Frost and their children.

Sir Terry was recently interviewed for Warwick the Magazine.
