1 in 4 children in our region can't and need your help...
Every child has the 'right to read' but not every child has the opportunity. Warwick Volunteers and the University Bookshop have teamed up to support 'right to read'. You can help by contributing to a 'right to read' book pack for one of our local schools. If you visit the Bookshop you can purchase a book from the book pack list, and we will add it to our book pack which will be donated to local schools that need these books - giving them a fantastic Christmas present!
Books on the list you can choose from include favourites by Roald Dahl, Jacqueline Wilson and Phillip Pullman amongst others, as well as (of course!) the Harry Potter books.
You can also support 'right to read' by giving an hour a week to become a reading volunteer in a local primary school. For more details contact volunteers@warwick.ac.uk or visit http://www.warwick.ac.uk/volunteers
Right to read' is a national Business in the Community campaign which aims to raise literacy standards of children aged 7 to 11 through a programme of support from participating businesses and the community.
