'Wear it Pink'

Is a brand new fundraising event that ANYONE can do on Friday, 31 October 2003.

Breast Cancer Campaign is asking thousands of companies, schools and universities to ‘wear it pink®’ to raise money for breast cancer research.

October is the tenth anniversary of the pink ribbon and Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the UK.

Just come in wearing something pink tomorrow
and donate £2 to Warwick's co-ordinator
Mandie Drew from the International Office (Room 102 Senate House).

Stuck for ideas? You could wear:

  • pink pants
  • a pink wig
  • pink socks
  • a pink hat
  • a pink tie
  • a pink scarf
  • a pink belt

Over the past ten years the campaign has become well-etablished, however the need for awareness is still as important as ever - we know that between 20 and 30 percent of women with breast cancer symptoms delay for 12 weeks or more before seeking help.
