Open Studies 25th anniversary logo revealed

A new logo celebrating 25 years of Open Studies at Warwick has been revealed for the first time after a competition to mark the milestone anniversary.

Darren Lucas of jobs.ac.uk came up with the winning design for the programme which is based at the University's Centre for Lifelong Learning (CLL).

Over the years the programme has offered courses in Coventry, Leamington, Stratford, Nuneaton and Solihull, and students have ranged in age from 16 to 96.

Dr David Lamburn, Director of Academic Studies at the CLL, said: "The Open Studies programme has been providing part-time evening and day modules, certificates and non-accredited day schools for students in the local community for many years.

"In our endeavours to develop new courses we aim to maintain the University of Warwick’s strong educational reputation and at the same time provide interesting and exciting opportunities for all of the communities we aim to serve."

The Centre offers a wide range of short 10-week courses in everything from Classical Greek to child psychology that can be taken for pleasure, career progression, or to gain credits towards studying a part-time degree.

A brochure of courses is now available online and bookings are now open for courses in the Autumn term.
