The 30^th Warwick University Real Ale Festival takes place this week and with over 200 beers and ales, it is now the largest student-run Real Ale Festival in the UK.

The festival takes place from Thursday 27 November until Saturday 29 November and is organised by the University’s Real Ale Society who are committed to the promotion, production and appreciation of real ale, real ciders and fruit wines.

The festival will be held in the Temporary Events Structure (TES) on Tocil Field, meaning the event will be significantly larger than in previous years. It will be open all day with a programme of live evening entertainment, including music from Britain’s last Victorian pub pianist, folk-rock band Treebeard and the University’s own brass band.

As well as a wide selection of ales from around the UK, including unusual beers from smaller breweries and ales brewed in the local area, hot food will also be served throughout the event.

Entry is free to CAMRA members and £2.50 for non-members. The opening hours are 6pm – midnight on Thursday and Friday and 1pm – midnight on Saturday.
