The first phase of the Students’ Union redevelopment is now complete.

On Monday 18th May, the Union’s brand new venue, The Copper Rooms, opened its doors to a packed crowd. The Copper Rooms is a state of the art, multipurpose venue spread over three separate areas. It has been designed with live music at the forefront, and will also house all of the Union’s club nights.

The space is also available for daytime room bookings and would be suitable for presentations or conferences. For more information on hiring the venue, please email lesley.shortland@warwicksu.com

The other part of the first phase, the Union’s new pub, The Dirty Duck, has been open since the start of term and includes a new balcony terrace, a wide selection of real ales and a jukebox.

The Dirty Duck also has a full menu and carvery which launched on Tuesday 26th May. The carvery will be available every day from 12-4pm and costs £3.95, or with a pint for £5. After 4pm, The Dirty Duck will be serving a full pub menu until 9pm.

Work on phase two of the Union rebuild is now underway. The second phase of the build project features a Terrace Bar, Piazza Café, Societies Club, Deli Sandwich Bar, Atrium and much more. This phase of the build is now expected to open in two stages during the 09/10 academic year.
