Summer Degree Ceremonies 2013

Graduands outside Warwick Students' UnionThe University’s Summer Degree Ceremonies will take place from Monday 15 to Saturday 20 July 2013.

The Summer Ceremonies are a celebration of our students' successes and achievements and, with eleven ceremonies throughout the week, will see around 4,000 students graduating from the University. The ceremonies will take place in the Butterworth Hall in the Arts Centre.

As well as celebrating student successes, honorary degrees will be awarded to distinguished people who have made important contributions to cultural, intellectual, social, economic or political life.

This year, recipients include TV and stage stars Ruth Jones and Adrian Lester, RSC artistic director Greg Doran and the former Artistic Director at the Royal Court Theatre Dominic Cooke. Each honorary graduand is presented by an orator, who will deliver a short citation about the achievements that have led to the award of the degree.
