University Management Company Signs With Wilson

The management company inspire2coach, which operates the new £2.5 million indoor tennis centre at the University of Warwick, has signed with leading sports brand Wilson. The 3-year deal covers the programme at the University as well as its other centres in Alcester, Kings Norton, Studley, Inkberrow and Aston Cantlow. It ensures that the teams will all play with Wilson rackets, wear the Wilson performance range of clothing and practice with Wilson balls and equipment.

The tennis centre, opened in March of 2008, is the first of its kind in Warwickshire to open to the public with no membership required. The University took the unique step of appointing an external specialist company, inspire2coach, which is based at the centre. The company was started by coaches Mark Tennant and Richard Marklow in 2007. Both men are considered leading Cardio Tennis experts in the UK and between them have over 40 years of experience. Mark Tennant, who recently won the Warwickshire LTA coach of the year award, said “We are very excited at the prospect of working at such a fantastic facility, and we are delighted at the support given to us by Wilson”.
