Winter Graduation Ceremonies 2014

Graduation The University’s Winter Degree Ceremonies will take place from Wednesday 22 to Friday 24 January 2013.

The Winter Ceremonies are a celebration of our students' successes and achievements and, with six ceremonies throughout the week, will see many students graduating from the University. The ceremonies will take place in the Butterworth Hall in the Arts Centre.

As well as celebrating student successes, honorary degrees will be awarded to distinguished people who have made important contributions to cultural, intellectual, social, economic or political life.

This year, recipients include Dr John Hood, Motionhouse's Artistic Director Dr Kevin Finnnan, Neurologist Dr Oliver Sacks, Professor George Loewenstein and Sir Vernon Ellis. Each honorary graduand is presented by an orator, who will deliver a short citation about the achievements that have led to the award of the degree.
