WMS Professor receives international award for child mental health work

Swaran Singh receiving his Sikh Aid awardProfessor Swaran Singh from Warwick Medical School has been given a Sikh Aid International Award for his work supporting the mental health of children.

Professor Singh is the Head of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Division at Warwick Medical School and is also the Lead for the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust Hub and the Mental Health Research Network Heart of England Hub.

He received his award at an event held at the ICC in Birmingham on 31 January. The awards, run in conjunction with Save the Children, acknowledge excellence demonstrated by West Midlands based individuals/organisations in making a positive difference to vulnerable children worldwide.
