Warwick scientists to tackle big data challenge of next-generation physics experiments

Warwick physicists are among scientists developing vital software to exploit the large data sets collected by the next-generation experiments in high energy physics at the Large Hadron Collider. The new software will crunch the masses of data that the LHC and next-generation neutrino experiments will produce this decade.

In this study, Warwick's Andra Sonea, Dr Weisi Guo, and Professor Stephen Jarvis created an infrastructure map of the points of access to financial services. This aimed to discover which areas in the UK people are particularly vulnerable to financial exclusion and how we can seek to prevent this.
